Ayana Workman is an African American-Slovene actress, dancer, and writer who was born and raised in New York City. She has a BFA in acting from Mason Gross School of The Arts at Rutgers University.  Ayana has  worked and studied in Europe including time spent studying at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London.

She is currently represented by Clear Talent Group and is a residential member of Pop Up Theatrics Physical Theatre Company and Theater Futura. Her professional theater debut was in 2012 playing the role  of Bahia at the State Theater of Maribor in Slovenia, as a part of the European Cultural Capital Festival  2012. 

Her noted theater roles include Juliet in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (at The Public Theater in NYC and Shakespeare Theater Company in Washington DC), and Perdita in Shakespeare's Winter's Tale (at The Public Theater in NYC).

Coming up, Ayana will be playing Mary in Miss Bennet: Christmas At Pemberly at Cincinnati Playhouse in The Park ( Cincinnati, Ohio).
